Is 6061 Aluminum Can be Cast?

Aluminum alloys are divided into deformed aluminum alloys and cast aluminum alloys. The former can be used for pressure processing, while the latter can only be cast.
Advantages of aluminum alloy:
(1) Aluminum alloy is light in weight, corrosion resistant, and well processed.
(2) Aluminum alloy has good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity.

(4) Non-toxicity and recyclability of aluminum alloy.
Disadvantages of aluminum alloy:
(1) Aluminum alloy has low hardness and poor wear resistance.
(2) Aluminum alloy has a low melting point, and its use at high temperatures is restricted.
(3) The elastic modulus of aluminum alloy is relatively poor, only ⅓ of steel.

(4) The electronic potential of aluminum alloy is extremely negative, and when it comes in contact with other dissimilar metals, it is easy to be used as an anode to cause serious galvanic corrosion.
